A small flame. A larger presence.

Focal is a candle wall lamp that shapes the light of a single flame through a Fresnel lens. Early tests showed how changing the focal length transforms its glow. That observation gave the lamp its name.

No bulb. No cable. Just a flame.

02 / Form

A question of focus.

Two focal lengths are being tested. One projects a clear circle of light across the room; the other keeps the glow close, creating a halo around the lens.

Two parts, one assembly.

An aluminium structure supports the Fresnel lens; a separate holder carries the candle. These CAD views show how the two pieces bring flame and lens together.
